此詩選是目前在海內外含蓋最多迦南詩歌的選集，共787首。所有歌是聖靈藉河南農村教會小敏姐妹所作﹐她只有初中一年級文化﹐也不識樂譜﹐在聖靈感動下﹐在數年間創作出近千首詩歌﹐名叫「迦南詩歌」。專學音樂的人，聽到這些詩歌，以為出自大師之手。 怎麼也不相信 來自這村姑之手。 但，這不就證明出自神的麼！正如小敏姐妹始終如一的說：「聖靈才是詩歌的作者，我只是主耶穌的器皿！」「迦南詩歌」已經成為中國家庭教會的主體詩歌﹐三自教會也廣為傳唱﹐其中一些歌﹐如「最知心的朋友」﹐「求主給我一顆心」等等﹐更流傳到海外。《迦南詩選 》的主題有三： 主的愛，中國宣教與主內合一。 此主題真實見證了本世紀主在中國所行的神跡。

Thus far, this Canaan Hymnal is the hymnal containing the most Canaan hymns --a total of 787 songs. All of the hymns are composed by a young lady named Xiao Ming. She is from a village in the He Nan Province. With only a middle school education and no knowledge of reading music, she has, under the touch of the Holy Spirit, composed almost a thousand beautiful hymns in only a few years. She always says: "The Holy Spirit is the author of those hymns, I am just a vessel of the Lord Jesus!〃These hymns are sung by Chinese churches overseas and in China. There are three themes in the Canaan Hymns: the love of the Lord, missions of China, and unity in the Lord. These themes have truly testified to the works the Lord has done in China in this century.
