Use this level with K5 or Beginning 1st graders (not schooled previously). After completing the daily lesson in Phonics Lessons for Flashcards 1-31, refer to the Phonics Workbook Instructions & Answer Key: Level B:1 to help your student complete the workbook assignment in this text. Students will practice manuscript penmanship, letter/sound discrimination, plus the reading and spelling of one-syllable short and long vowel words.
PHONICS DEFINED. Phonics is the study of the 44 elementary speech sounds used in American English, the letters which represent them, and the method of learning to read by using them. Phonics is the connecting link between the spoken and the written word.
Teaching phonics is easy! Step-by-step guidance is provided so that even a novice can achieve great success. In addition to reading skills, you will also systematically be instructed in how to teach spelling, grammar, writing, and penmanship.
CHRIST- CENTERED CURRICULUM FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD: It is uniquely scriptural, academically superior (have been tested for two decades and has blessed by many Christian home schoolers) and easily learned. We highly recomend it.
