This cantata has both Chinese and English lyrics. "The Seven Last Words of Christ have Proved that He was the Son of God. The first word states that men committed sin and Christ has forgiven them. The second word states that if anyone asks of the Lord, his prayer will be answered. The third word states that in regard to human emotion, Christ himself is full of affection. The fourth word states that Christ has taken the burden of our sins. The fifth word states that Christ took the pain of human flesh. The sixth word states that He has accomplished the grace of salvation. The seventh word states that His soul was put into God's hand and Christ gained the victory. When I wrote this cantata, I did not see the sad and lonely face of Christ. His death has brought us life. His resurrection has brought us eternal life. Hallelujah!
